At a very early stage vowels would have been enough to name whatever one referred to. Once objects became avowed one could join these named pieces into new forms, and after being adopted and used in the community, some combinations became standardized. As certain objects are possessive, while others, by the nature cannot be grasped, they would have been used consonant.

By formulating new nouns the vocabulary advanced and one became able to pronounce certain relations and verbally point out some consequences. Because of a scarce assortment the number of combinations where few but by the help of these subjects one where able to build more significant shapes.

In the beginning every syllable was meaningful as three or four letters can make the body of a word. Since the orthographic conclusion is related to the root of the words, there has been a parallel evolvement in different languages. Consequently even the synonyms of many words are parallel. Or put in other words; from specific roots grew the stem that branched according to whatever could be grasped by the vocabulary.

Just as fruits can seem good, smell good, and also taste good, any object that is needed, once identified, appears as "good". Therefore, whatever one by exertion get becomes "goods". The reason to this is that all these shapes are built on the same syllable.

But even if we think that our associations are well founded because we cannot get deeper into the roots, we must envision the way these words where manifested initially. Considering ancient languages the foundation might turn out to be very different.

As these nouns where independent, the order in which they appeared was unimportant. Solid concepts became however, prominent and made the basis for more complex formulations. The syllables could be built, both before and after these concepts. In other words, these syllables constituted the axis of both objects and subjects.

For instance, "the individuality" by which one "behaves" both the inner "mood" and the outer "manners", in that one stay "firm" and have "control", both above inner "feelings" and above outer "subjects", hence the "constitution" of all this terms, "turns around" the same "shaft".


By reviewing artistry of the old world, one can indeed differentiate the individuality in depictions. When this concept is grasped you will have a good command of the expressions used in the intoductions to the Gāthās. Moreover, you will be able to discern the ancient
